Visiting The Archive

There are two main ways to access our collections. We expect most users to use this site, though you can also visit the Archive library in Reading, UK, but you must make an appointment! We cannot admit visitors wihout adequate volunteer cover, so it is essential we agree:

  • the date and time of your visit;
  • the approximate duration of your visit and
  • the material you wish to inspect so we can prepare it before you arrive.

As with other Archives, we have a set of rules that you must follow when visiting us. Please click here to read them. You will have to sign a declaration that you agree to them before we will allow you to attend.

The rules are designed to protect our holdings and avoid unnecessary disruption and misunderstandings. We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask people to leave if problems occur.
